Hello, my name is Sarah, and I am an Integrative Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist. I provide therapeutic support to children, parents, and teachers within the education sector and in my private practice in Dulwich, SE London. Today, with over 15 years of experience working with children,  I continue to dedicate my work to supporting young people and their families. I feel honoured to support families during different phases of their lives.   I am humbled by their courage, compassion and creativity. I continue to learn from them every day.

Day to day I hold a variety of roles including:-

  • Individual and group psychotherapist for vulnerable children & adolescents both in a mainstream school, pupil referral units and in private practice accross SE London and online.

  • Management of a therapeutic service within a primary school setting, including induction and placement coordinator for trainee therapists. In this role, I provide therapeutic support to children, school staff and families. I also offer mental health-themed assemblies, staff INSET training days and parent support groups.

  • B.A.S.E Babywatching  Group Leader.  I trained with Dr Karl Heinz Brisch to become a B.A.S.E. ® Babywatching Group Leader and I am able to bring this low-cost programme to schools. B.A.S.E. stands for Babywatching Against Aggression and Anxiety, for Sensitivity and Empathy.

  • I also offer clinical supervision for psychotherapists working with children and young people.

I hold a Masters in Integrative Child Psychotherapy as well as a Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in the Therapeutic Application of the Arts and a Certificate in Integrative Counselling Skills. I continue to attend regular CPD events as part of my professional development.

I am a professional member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (MBACP). My affiliation with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) supports the great depths of my training.  I adhere to their Code of Ethics; maintaining confidentiality and following relevant safeguarding procedures where necessary. I also regularly reflect on my practice with a senior clinical supervisor. I hold full professional liability insurance and an up to date DBS (Disclosures and Barring service) certificate to confirm my credibility as a competent and effective psychotherapist working with children and their families.
